From Paper to Digital: Loving Someone's Love

In 2006, when Loving Someone's Love first arrived in bookstores, the world was different. iPhones didn't exist, Kindle was about to launch, and the idea of reading a book on a screen still seemed distant to many. However, the story the book tells —about love, courage, and new beginnings— remains relevant today.

Back then, to my surprise, the book reached the bestseller list at Livraria Cultura in the self-help category. It was a time when speaking openly about certain experiences still created discomfort, but readers showed that honest stories find their way.

Now, in 2025, I decided to bring this story into the digital age. It's not just about format —it's about accessibility and reach. An e-book can reach places that paper never could, can be read on any device, anywhere in the world.

The decision to publish in other languages came from the realization that feelings are universal. Love, guilt, doubt, hope —these emotions know no borders or languages. These aren't just versions, but bridges to share this experience with a broader audience.

The process of preparing for the digital format was a journey of rediscovery. Each revisited page brought memories not only of the story told but of readers' reactions over the years. Messages, emails, casual encounters where people shared their own experiences —all of this confirmed that true stories have the power to connect people.

What has changed since 2006? A lot. The way we consume content, how we share experiences, how we connect. But the human heart remains the same. We still seek love, still face moral dilemmas, still need courage to follow our feelings.

What remains current in the book isn't just the circumstances described, but the fundamental questions it raises: How do we balance personal happiness with responsibility to others? How do we build something new without destroying what exists? How do we find peace amid judgment?

This digital version isn't just a republication —it's a rebirth. A chance to allow more people to find comfort, identification, and perhaps courage in their own journeys.

To those who read the original version: thank you for being part of this story. To new readers: welcome to a true story about how love, even when born in complex circumstances, can flourish with respect and responsibility.

The future of literature is digital, but the stories that move us remain deeply human.
